Dr. McKell grew up in Provo, Utah. He is the second of six siblings and his father was a Dentist. Early on he realized that he also wanted to pursue a career in medicine along with two of his brothers (one a Dentist and the other a Physical Therapist).
He studied exercise physiology at Brigham Young University where he graduated with his Bachelors of Science degree. Following his time at Brigham Young University he attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and graduated with his Doctorate degree (1991). He then completed his Podiatric Surgery Residency in Denver, Colorado. Upon completion of his residency he moved back to Utah County to begin his practice and is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. McKell served as Department Chairman of Podiatric Medicine at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He enjoys getting to know his patients and working with them to solve their foot and ankle problems. His attention to detail and proper diagnosis makes him a favorite among his patients.
He and his wife Tonya are the parents of 5 extraordinary children and three grandchildren. He served as a board member for International Aid Serving Kids (IASK), a humanitarian organization that helps less fortunate children in the Dominican Republic and he and his wife have served the people of the Dominican Republic on a Humanitarian trip, where they helped children with a variety of medical problems.
Dr.McKell treats patients of all ages, and with a wide variety of foot and ankle problems. He commonly treats patients with sport injuries, ingrown toenails, diabetes, heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, nail fungus and warts to name a few. Dr McKell has offices in Orem and Payson and is a partner in the Foot and Ankle Clinics of Utah where he has three partners with offices from Lehi to Payson covering much of Utah County. Surgical procedures when necessary are performed at the following locations throughout the valley.
